at this point i feel like im no longer able to maintain uploading and organizing my website.
i will be uploading things on to flickr from now on.and probably tumblr as well. um... i will be putting some finnal things on to the site. i will be at canzine vancouver in november. here is a link to the w2 event page. broken pencil. is putting it on. its a neat magazine. but i feel like it kind of sets a mood. look at how zines have evolved, its not so much about diy anymore, and more about printing your own media. when i say diy; the whole process of creating a printed object. from making it, to the actual act of putting an book together. its removes the community element. or at least i feel isolated from the other side, the shinny mega-zine's put me off a bit. i suppose a screen printed cover is just as pretentious..... |
